WATER SYSTEMS PROJECT
Water
Systems Project in Sitio Abel was turned over to Cartwheel Malaybalay
and blessed on March 8 by Fr. Pablo Salengua, IPA (Indigenous People
Act) Coordinator of the Diocese of Malaybalay. Ms. Maya Nayo, IP
Literacy Program Coordinator; Ms. Rojean Caharian, Project Officer
of Cartwheel Malaybalay; and some Cartwheel Scholars witnessed the
ceremonies. This project was funded by Tabang Mindanao, an arm of
ASSISSI DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INC.
PILGRIMAGE
NEWS
A Pilgrimage to Miarayon on March 22 to March 26, 2002 was made
with the assistance of Cebu Pacific. Thanks to Mr.Lance Gokongwei
and Atty. Raquel Dimalanta. It was a wonderful and worthwhile experience
for the participants to see Miarayon and meet its people. Nilda
Dionisio, Ange Buenavides, Tet Carlos, Penny Esporma, Rommel Panganiban,
Emoy Gorgonia, Jimmy Cruz and Dr. Francis Dimalanta have now called
themselves "official pilgrims." Call 6337442 for the schedule
of our next visit to Bukidnon or drop by Cartwheel Malaybalay on
Lope Damasco St., Impalambong, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon if you're

pilgrimage was timely in March because it was an opportunity to
witness not only the graduation rites of Sta. Teresita Pre-School
but also the talents of everyone who surprised Cartwheel President
Gina Alfonso on her birthday on March 23. The night was a memorable
one as the Danio Family (Totong, Grace, and their father), Teacher
Lourdes and Teacher Amy sang and danced and gave speeches. Our best
wishes to our dear Gina Alfonso! From the Cartwheel Family.

MEDICAL MISSION
A
Medical Mission, led by Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta of St.. Lukes
Medical Center, served over a hundred Lumad children and adults
on March 24 at Sta.Teresita Pre-School, Miarayon Centro. Dr. Dimalanta
was assisted by Fr. Kit Bautista, Gina Alfonso , Suzanne Alvarez,
and pilgrims Mr. Rommel Panganiban, Ange Benavides, Tet Carlos,
Nilda Dionisio and Penny Esporma.
